Hello :)
GOOD TO SEE YOU!
I am a User Experience lover. I began my career, with one sole focus:
"Offer the BEST UX for everyone interacting with our product!"
But wait... how?
UX practitioners have to be story tellers. A very GOOD one. Knowing what the users need and eloquently narrating the story of how our product will blend into the lives of the people will vitalize an okay experience and turn it into some ass kickin' UX.

01 UX PROCESS
USER RESEARCH AND DESIGN METHODOLOGY
Research
Decipher the work domain of interest and the problem space through qualitative / quantitative and behavioral / attitudinal UX methodologies with stakeholders, domain experts and potential users.

Continuous conversation with the team throughout the research phase about the findings instigates new questions and formulates a context for coherent discussion in the future phases.

Filtering, editing, and organizing collected data are crucial in analyzing and making sense of the work domain or problem under investigation.
Extensive and organized notes from research,
brainstormed ideas and themes will expedite the data analysis process.
Analyze
Conceptualize
When conceptualizing the design, it is crucial to consider mental models of the users in relation to the current work system or the general interface interactions. Without a well established mental model of certain structure, layout or interaction process, creativity can hurt the usability of the product and lead to frustration and confusion.

Conceptualization of the product are not necessarily represented in visual artifacts, but also in paragraphs, flow charts, and sitemaps to enhance communication medium.

Low fidelity to mid fidelity prototyping and iteration of the prototypes are crucial to the process of design in order to reduce the risk of product recall.

Low fidelity prototypes using wireframe tools or even with pen & paper are great way of evaluating the options and eliminating unnecessary features.
Prototype
Evaluating prototypes doesn't always have to be with primary user participants. Heuristic analysis and formative evaluation with the SMEs can be utilized for rapid product assessment.

However, it is recommended that high fidelity prototypes be user tested by participants in order to get a clear understanding of the primary user's perspectives.
User Test
User testing without iteration is a lost cause!
Making sure to apply design implications from the test sessions is crucial. Moreover, iteration does not necessarily happen at the end of the UX process cycle, iterations can be made on the sketching, low to high fidelity prototypes, and design-informing models.
